Quality Education - Ellaga

What does quality education mean? In my opinion, learners and environments for education are healthy, content is relevant, teaching is student-centered, and outcomes are all-encompassing bringing about all that is good from the student's educational experience. To put it simply, it means going to a school where the teachers care about their students and their understanding of their teaching material. The teachers go out of their way to make sure that the students understand it. But if we’re talking about a student’s surroundings, quality education means that the students will feel comfortable being able to communicate with their teachers and classmates.

I’m a really shy student and I am anti-social. If I need help, I don’t ask for it all because of my social anxiety. But I noticed when I entered Senior High, that the teachers went around the classroom to make sure the students understood, by asking questions and making the students participate. My experience in Senior High is much better than in Junior High or Elementary. Like that one time in Pre-Calculus, I was having a hard time because I couldn’t quite understand what the teacher was discussing, also her handwriting was really small and I just so happened to be seated at the back so I couldn’t see her handwriting. After she gave us an activity, she roamed around the classroom to see if any student was struggling. She looked at my notebook and helped me with how to solve the problem.

The major challenge faced by educators and learners in achieving quality education is the lack of motivation to teach the students properly, which of course would make it harder for the students to learn. Another challenge faced by both educators and learners would be time management. Learners may find it difficult to balance studying and other activities. For example, a student has problems with her family and coincidentally, it was PT week and exams were coming up. I think the student would be stressed. While teachers may struggle with the lesson plans and grading assignments. Both can lead to burnout and a decrease in the overall quality of education.

Promoting quality education can lead to more skilled and smart people, which can help with the economy. A well-educated country is more likely to engage in civic responsibilities, leading to better policies and governance. Because high-quality education improves creativity and problem-solving skills, it can also increase originality and to be able to make the right decisions. All things considered, high-quality education can support the development of a more equitable and supportive society where everyone has the chance to succeed.

The influence of technology has had both positive and negative impacts on education. For example, social media. I have seen multiple posts about controversial topics such as abortion, feminism, the LGBTQ+ community, and more. The people who make such negative comments about these topics are giving poor education to the younger generation. There could be other people who post misinformation. A positive impact of the influence of technology is that it can provide access to knowledge and resources. But because of AI technology, netizens can post the wrong kind of information and show the AI picture as proof that what they posted was real.
